Three 3000m peaks in one day: Breathtaking hike in the Silvretta Alps
The majestic Silvretta Alps in Austria are a paradise for hikers and mountaineers. With their rugged peaks and picturesque valleys, they offer an unparalleled experience for anyone seeking adventure in nature.
The beginning of the adventure
The journey begins at the Jamtalhütte above Galtür. To get there, there are special hiking shuttles that comfortably take visitors to the hut. Even on the way there it can happen that peacefully grazing cows block the path, which only underlines the charm of this region.
The Ascent
The actual climb begins from the hut. An idyllic path leads along a rushing river, accompanied by the sound of cowbells in the distance. The hike leads through a rugged landscape that becomes increasingly alpine until you finally reach the Futschöl Pass. Despite the effort, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of glacier fields and deep gorges.
The challenge of the ridge
The next section of the hike is particularly challenging as it goes over a rocky ridge. Sure-footedness is required here, as it goes steeply downhill in places. But the effort is worth it: a picturesque snowy landscape awaits hikers at an altitude of almost 3,000 m.
The summit experiences
The first peak, the Grenzeckkopf, is at an altitude of 3,048 m. Despite the altitude and the cold, the summit offers 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers. After a short rest, we continue to the Bischofsspitze at 3,029 m and finally to the Breite Krone at 3,079 m. Each of these peaks offers a unique panorama and more than makes up for the effort of the climb.
The descent and the end of an unforgettable day
After reaching the third summit, the descent begins back to the Jamtalhütte. The day ends at the Kopsstausee above Galtür, where the water shines an intense blue in the glow of the setting sun.

Ich habe dieses Shirt in V-Neck sowie mit Rundhals für meine meine Wandermädels und mich bestellt. Die Größe fällt etwas grösser aus als normal. Von der Qualität sind die Shirts sehr gut, sie tragen sich sehr angenehm und behalten auch nach dem waschen die Form. Der Kundenservice war sehr gut (wir mussten shirts umtauschen, da wie schon erwähnt die Grösse etwas von andern Shirts abweicht), ich kann die Shirts von Berglust nur weiterempfehlen und würde sofort wieder bestellen!
