The magic of the Stubaital: glaciers, mountain lakes and breathtaking waterfalls

The Stubaital, a jewel in the Alps, offers an impressive backdrop for outdoor adventures. From mighty glaciers to picturesque mountain lakes, this valley is a nature lover's paradise.

A fairytale start

The journey begins with the impressive Grawa Waterfall, the widest waterfall in the Eastern Alps. The sound of the water and the cool breeze that comes from it are a real treat for the senses. We continue through a forest that seems to come from a storybook, lined with ferns and mosses.

The heart of the valley: Sulzenau Alm

After you leave the forest, the landscape opens up and reveals a view of the idyllic Sulzenau Alm. A crystal-clear mountain stream winds through bright green meadows, surrounded by impressive mountain walls and numerous waterfalls.

The Blaue Lacke: A mountain lake like something out of a picture book

Another highlight of the tour is the Blaue Lacke, a turquoise-blue mountain lake that lies between steep mountain sides. Despite its beauty, the water is ice cold, a testament to the snow-capped peaks that surround it.

So close to the glacier

The journey continues to Sulzenauferner, an impressive glacier. The landscape becomes more and more spectacular, with snowfields glistening in the sun and the clear, cold water of the glacial lake.

Top of Tyrol: A panorama that takes your breath away

After a cable car ride you reach the Top of Tyrol viewing platform. From here you have a breathtaking view of over 100 three-thousanders, including well-known mountains such as the Wildspitze. The view is so impressive that you feel like you are standing on top of the world.

A dive into eternal ice

At the end of the tour we go to the ice grotto, where you can walk through the heart of the glacier. The 200 meter long circular route leads through the eternal ice and offers insights into the layer structure of the ice and the formation of crevasses.

The Stubaital is undoubtedly a place of incomparable beauty and offers countless opportunities for outdoor adventures. From hikes across glaciers to relaxing walks along picturesque mountain lakes, there is something for everyone here.
